General Terms And Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website. By accessing and ordering from this website you agree to be bound by the terms set out below. Any contract formed between ourselves shall be governed by English & Welsh Law and any disputes that arise will be resolved exclusively in the Courts of England & Wales.

The website is owned, operated and managed by Saturnalia Jewellery Ltd.


Making a Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our website or use the search function until you find what you want. You can continue to add more items or remove some at any time. After you have finished your selection, click on "Cart" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. You can change the contents of your basket or cancel your order at any time - as your request is not confirmed until you enter payment details. Please be aware that you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to make a purchase from us. We do not accept orders via mail or Email. We do not accept payment by cash or cheque.


Payment & Currencies

We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards. These are processed online using the PayPal secure payment service. Prices are shown in Great British Pounds Sterling and are inclusive of VAT. Credit cards are pre-authorised immediately using the PayPal secure system. As part of our commitment to the security of our customers we may contact you to request further validation of your details.

We take every reasonable care to ensure that your order and subsequent transactions are conducted in a secure environment. If products are not available for any reason after we have accepted your order, we will let you know. We will not charge you for these products and will refund any amounts already paid (if any) by way of a credit to your credit card/debit card account.


Remittance Terms

Please note that all goods must be paid for in full before shipping.


Tax Charges

The buyer is solely responsible for any import duty, import taxes or other incidental charges that may apply to their particular country, county or state. Please note that we will not input incorrect information on customs forms, nor mark the parcel a gift, nor undervalue the contents.


Order Completion

Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the dispatch to you of the Products ordered, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions. Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:

- The product you ordered being unavailable from stock

- Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment

- The identification of a pricing or product description error

- Your failure to meet the eligibility to order criteria set out in the main Terms and Conditions.



All deliveries will be made to you at the addresses specified by you in the order. We may, at our discretion and expense, deliver parts of your order separately. If we cannot deliver the products to you at the address you have specified for any reason (other than when we are at fault), we will notify you and store the products. If you wish us to redeliver the products to you, you will need to authorise us to charge your credit card/debit card for such re-delivery. If we do not hear from you within 28 days, we will cancel the order and refund your payment to you less any reasonable delivery charges we have incurred.

A signature may be required to receive the order and you will be responsible for the products as soon as they are delivered. If you decide to have your order delivered to a different address than your own, a signature may still be required and the general conditions of delivery will remain unchanged.


Lost Packages

Even though packages are sent via Royal Mail or secure courier, on rare occasions we do experience losses whilst in transit. Please get in touch with us if you think this may be the case with your order.

Please be aware that if we are not contacted within 30 days, an insurance claim cannot be made and thus the customer will be unable to claim any loss from Saturnalia Jewellery Ltd and will have to make a claim to the shipping company directly.


Can I return or exchange an item?

We hope that you are happy with your purchase but if not, you can simply return your online order, unworn, to us in its original packaging and with all relevant receipts and documentation for a full refund within the 30 days returns period. This offer does not include personalised items or special orders (see below) and does not affect your statutory rights. Please note we are unable to accept returns of earrings and/or cleaning products due to hygiene reasons.


Special Orders

We are unable to offer exchanges or refunds on bespoke items or special orders. This means that we cannot provide refunds or exchanges on items that have been specially made to order for you, items that have been altered or personalised in any way, and products that are not normally stocked by Saturnalia Jewellery Ltd but have been ordered specially at your request. Bespoke or specially ordered products may only be returned if the goods are faulty or were supplied incorrectly. This does not affect your statutory rights.


We reserve the right to change any details about Materials, colour, shade, size and price on our website at any time. Our Jewellery is made using the finest material available and we are confident in the quality of our products, however, as a natural product some gemstones may vary in appearance. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. We also reserve the right to refuse service to any person at any time.


Our Guarantee To You

We believe that all of our products are of the highest quality and will guarantee everything against manufacturing defects for 6 months from the date you received your jewellery.  Please be advised that if you have your item altered, repaired, or adjusted by another jeweller or company, then this will invalidate your guarantee and render it void. To protect the guarantee, all work must be carried out by Saturnalia Jewellery Ltd.



Any treatments to gemstones sold by Saturnalia Jewellery Ltd are common to the Gem and Jewellery trade worldwide (e.g standard heat treaments) and are of a permanent nature. All our gemstones, such as Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Amethyst, Ethiopian Opal and Aquamarine, are natural gemstones and have not been created in a laboratory.


Precious Metals

All metals used in our jewellery complies with the Hallmarking Act 1973 and any pieces of jewellery falling within the pervue of the conditions set out in the Act will be hallmarked accordingly. We are registered with the London Assay Office, who will conduct the hallmarking process on our behalf on eligible items. If the listing details do not report that a piece has a hallmark then that piece does not comprise the adequate weight of metal to qualify for hallmarking, but does contain the metal stated in the listing details.

Hallmarking requirements are based on material weight;

Sterling silver - above 7.78g

Gold - above 1g



We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card details are processed using either the Shopify or PayPal secure transaction system. We are unable to view your Credit Card details and Credit Card details are not stored on the Internet or on any of our own computers. Order with confidence!

This website is fully integrated with Shopify payments (supporting all major Credit & Debit cards) and PayPal; one of the leading secure payment systems. Sensitive information is only requested on pages that are located on the PayPal secure servers and this information cannot be accessed or viewed by anyone else.

Using the PayPal system, your credit card information remains safely in the hands of you and PayPal. No-one else has access to this.

Despite this attention to security Third party links are not controlled by us.


Your Privacy

Your privacy and trust is important to us and we will treat any details you provide us with respectfully. We do not participate in unsolicited mailing and avoid working with those who do. We will never give your contact information to other organisations (except shipping companies responsible for delivering your order) unless legally required to do so. When handling your personal data, we will always comply with the obligations set out in the Data Protection Act 1998 (the DPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (the GDPR) from 25th May 2018. We also promise to do the following:

  • - We'll only collect and use your information where we have your permission to do so.

  • - We'll be transparent in our dealings with you and tell you how we’ll collect and use your information. If we collect your information for a purpose, we'll only use it for that purpose, unless you’ve been otherwise informed and given your permission where relevant.

  • - We'll update our records when you tell us that your details have changed.

  • - We'll periodically review your personal information to ensure we don’t keep it for longer than is necessary.

  • - We'll ensure that your information is securely disposed (incinerated) of at the end of the appropriate retention period.

  • - We'll observe your rights under applicable privacy and data protection laws and will ensure that queries relating to privacy issues are dealt with promptly and transparently.

  • - We'll train our staff on their privacy obligations.

  • - We'll ensure we have appropriate physical and technological security measures to protect your information regardless of where it’s held.

  • We may change our Privacy policy from time to time. If or when changes are made we’ll include them here, so be sure to check back occasionally.

Therefore we cannot endorse our website as a source of advice, information or recommendations.
